There hasn’t been a whole lot to post lately as far as new spotting activity goes. Mostly repeat REACH C-17s from McChord and Charleston, the usual Maine~iac KC-135Rs and the ever so popular ERJ/CRJ’s from Delta and US Airways. There have been some others of interest but they’re either after dark or when I’m busy at work and can’t break away.
A new addition to my lens lineup is a Canon 300mm f/2.8L IS II. I paired with my 2x telextender and the Allegiant A320 gives you an idea of the reach I have. Even with the telextender, the image quality is really good. With the 70-200 I’d have a nice shot of the whole plane but this allows me to hit some different angles with the shots.
With summer hopefully on it’s way, weather delays in NY/NJ will send us some diversions and maybe, just maybe this is the summer we see an A380 in Bangor! Happy Spotting!
